VIP RE-ENROLMENT DAY
Pulse HQ (Coles Building)
All students participate in our End of Year Concert and students work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.
In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact admin to let us know in advance.
If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.
Concert Fee - $100
See graphic below for all inclusions (Valued over $200)
This fee is billed to all students enrolled in Term 4 - regardless of attendance in concert as the expenses of the inclusions are budgeted for all students.
If your child is not performing for any reason you can still get great value for this price! They are welcome to attend photo day to get amazing portraits, receive the 2025 Tee Shirt and medal.

REHEARSAL DAY

At Pulse we understand that the end of year is a busy time for families and as such we no longer hold a separate rehearsal weekend but instead hold a Rehearsal Week in normal class time! During rehearsal week students will have run throughs in costume. They will also be familiarised with back stage protocol, show running orders etc. It is essential for all performers to attend classes in the week!
Students need to do the following for dress rehearsal day:
Arrive 10 mins earlier for class (if possible) & be picked up 5mins after normal class finish time
Wear Dance undergarments that would be worn on concert day (see further information detailed later in "what to wear")
NO hair or makeup is required
Students will receive their Commemorative Finale Tshirts on this day.
Bring all shoes required and a water bottle as usual
DROP OFF
On concert days, all students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and makeup done before being dropped off.
The drop off window is between an hour and 45 mins before performance time. 9am-9:15am
Please ensure your dancer is dropped off within the window as we will not have adequate supervision allocated earlier and any later will push back the show start time.
Parents are asked to sign in their child to the leader in charge of their "show group" inside the hall who will then accompany them accompany them backstage.
PICK UP
Your dancer will go home in their finale clothes and will be asked to have their bag packed before the finale where possible to make pickup convenient. They will collect their belongings from the change rooms with assistance from helpers and be accompanied back into the audience to you. We welcome you to stick around for a bit to get photos!
For child safety, only authorised personnel are allowed in child changing areas and parents are unable to enter backstage or change rooms at any point.

SHOES REQUIRED
Acro - Black Neoprene Jazz Shoes
Cirque - No Shoes
UNDERGARMENTS
All undergarments, including stockings and socks are included in the Undergarment Kit that is charged along with your performer fee.
This year, for both child safety and performer comfort, we have introduced a modesty undergarments policy for all students. This ensures that every child remains covered at all times when changing costumes at the theatre.
Girls will be provided with a flesh-toned body stocking (a thin, skin-coloured leotard).
Boys will be provided with skin-coloured boy-leg shorts as their modesty undergarment.
- This will be sent home on rehearsal day with their concert t-shirt.
- Students must arrive at the theatre already wearing their body stocking/boy shorts under their clothes.
- This means they will never need to be fully undressed when changing costumes.
In addition, each student’s undergarment kit will include the correct tights or socks required for their dances, however these will remain with students costumes until after the show. At which time, they will be instructed to keep them on when changing back into their home clothes.
Bras (if required): These should be skin-coloured with clear straps to suit costumes. Period briefs and appropriate bras can be purchased directly from Pulse—please contact us before 1 November if you need us to order these in for you.
**NOTE: ANY UNDERGARMENTS LEFT BEHIND AFTER THE SHOWS WILL BE DISPOSED OF AND NOT ADDED TO LOST PROPERTY.
GIRL HAIR
All dancers are to have a slick high ponytail with no part. The ponytail is to be styled as either a bubble braid or a plait to keep it neat and off dancers faces.
- Use a generous amount of hairspray and gel and a fine-tooth comb or slicker brush to achieve the slick look, with all fringes slicked back and no flyaways.
- Secure with strong elastics (clear or the same colour as the dancer’s hair). Multiple elastics may be needed for extra hold.
- Ballet dancers must also bring a small hair kit, including pins and a bun net the colour of their hair, as some routines may require a bun.
- No hair accessories (bows, scrunchies, clips, etc.) are to be worn.
BOY HAIR
Neat and tidy. Ideally, use gel or styling product to secure.
